As this year is coming to an end I have been doing a lot of stock taking and deep reflections for the purpose of thanksgiving and moving forward and one thing that has kept recurring in my mind is that I need to protect my health from obesity.
Since I have only one body and the responsibility of nurturing it lies solely with me- it has become necessary since prevention is always better than cure.
I have resolved to stop eating like our forefathers because I know I cant be healthy that way in the long run since I am not remotely as physically active as they were.
Another resolve of mine is not to do any of the myriads of fad diets...I just want to go the slow but effective way of healthy eating and good ole exercise --this will make me glow and look younger( I know because i have done it before).
One of my missions for 2014 is to achieve a healthy BMI ; i am still 'scared' to check my weight.
I have decided to start blogging my weight loss journey so that I will keep motivated, have a sense of being held accountable and encourage anybody out there who has resolved to do same.
As i await my pre ordered fitness training equipment; i am mentally preparing myself to loose weight and stay slim.
Ponder on the words below.
"Lack of activity destroys the good condition of every human being, while movement and methodical physical exercise save it and preserve it."
